About Us

Mission Statement
At Omak Adventist Christian School it is our goal to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.

We promote the academic excellence, spiritual growth, and physical fitness of our students to prepare them to serve God and others, and to be ready to meet the problems of this world and be ready for the second coming of Jesus.

Our Philosophy
The Omak Adventist Christian School is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39, master the basic academic skills, value labor, physical and mental, as the blessing God intended, and cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Omak Adventist Christian School is operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division, North Pacific Union, and Upper Columbia Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church .

CongnitiveGenesis Video Presentation
The Adventist Education CognitiveGenesis study was designed to show how well students are doing in the Adventist school system and how their academic achievement compares to the achievement of students in other school systems. Standardized Iowa achievement tests were given for three years to gather this data.

In addition to measuring knowledge and skills with achievement tests, the researchers wanted to assess students' ability to learn, adapt, solve problems and understand instructions—their aptitude.

In all grades, in schools of all sizes, students in Adventist schools outperformed the national average in all subjects.

History of Adventist Education Video Presentation
Adventist Education has come a long way since 1853 when Martha Byington opened the first known church school for Sabbatarian Adventists in Buck's Bridge, New York. Today you'll find Adventist schools in nearly 150 countries. 85,000 teachers, 1.5 million students, 7,500 schools—the Adventist school system is one of the largest Christian educational systems in the world.
